I was feeling restless and not sure what I wanted to read next. I had started and stopped three other books a few pages in. I couldn’t find what I was looking for until I picked this book up wondering around the bookstore on my vacation.
Fix Her Up is the story of Georgette, the little sister, the town clown (literally she is a kids party clown.) No one takes her seriously and treats her like an adult. She needs a way to prove to her family she is grown. Maybe her plan to date her brother's best friend would accomplish that and help him out too. Win-win for everyone, right? She can ignore the fact she’s crushed on him since puberty!
Travis Ford, injured ex-baseball star, former major league playboy, is wallowing back in his home town. He feels like a failure and this just proves his dad was right about him not being good enough. Why is his best friend's little sister throwing questionable leftover Chinese food at his head telling him to get up and out of the house? Why does he find himself listening to her crazy plan to “fake” a relationship to show the network offering him a sports casting job that he isn’t a playboy any longer?
Through their friendship, crazy clown shenanigans, and the HOTTEST session of dry humping I’ve ever read in any book at any time - feelings start to change and maybe this temporary agreement doesn’t have to end on its expiration date.
I give this 5 gold stars and this book is going on the list of tales I want to re-read over again!
Happy reading - keep things a little on the naughty side!
