This was another book that I picked up when I was on vacation and UNSUPERVISED in the book store. Honestly the pile that I was going to buy was a lot larger than the pile that I did buy. However, my fiance and I have an agreement. I can have as many books as I want to spend my money on, but I am limited to three shoe purchases a year since they take up his side of the closet. We are already working on the married life compromises HA.
Jay loves her job, and she’s damn good at it. No one gets to the boss unless they go through her. However, that position of power doesn’t leave her making many friends at work. Don’t even get her started on her family. So when she starts having lunch with Jordan, she is happy to finally have someone to talk to about her day. He listens to her ramble on and never food shames her lunch choices.
Jordan knew he was claimed the moment he saw Jay. Gone. Gave his heart away. Instant love he would risk his life to protect. Now if only he can escape the friend zone!
This book had swoon worthy moments.
“You’re not the kind of woman that gets one night. You’re worth a lifetime.” The story was filled with the instant over-the-top love Alexa Riley is known for with just a hint of danger and drama this time.
I give it 4 stars and want to find the rest in the series. ( It shares characters in the For Her series, but I wasn’t lost in the story not having read the first books. It can be a stand alone.)
Happy reading- keep things a little on the naughty side!
